Bridal Shower Inspiration

this is what i found while on a mad hunt for inspiration: first off, 100 layer cake for their color boards, which are AMAZING! second, Amy Atlas's candy tables. last but not least, MaeMae Paperie, where i'm ALWAYS jaw-droppingly inspired.

stay tuned for the outcome, we'll see how it all measures up!

Kelly & Joel: MARRIED!

i had the pleasure of making the save the dates and wedding invitations for kelly and joel, who were recently wed. they were referred to me by two hard working and fun loving woman, Maryann and Aubyn from Taylored Occasions. the save the dates were magnets with a photo from their engagement session with La Vida Creations.

kelly and joel chose envelopments, which are always such a lovely added touch to the invitation suite.

congratulations kelly and joel! thank you for letting me a part of your big day. best wishes to your future together as husband and wife!

"common errors in english usage"...

so, you know when you have a booger in your nose and someone tells you and you're like, "THANK YOU SO MUCH!"? well, something similar recently happened to me. i was told that my business name was spelled incorrectly. since that is... kind of a big deal, i decided to go ahead and change everthing. i'm grateful for those people who would rather be a friend and do the hard thing instead of let you walk around embarassing yourself all day. thanks lori!

DIY headband

i have been following the blog A Field Journal for quite some time now and i always LOVE her pictures. everything is always layed out so nice and strategically placed just. like. so.

everything on that blog is always so inspiring. so much so that i actually made one of her DIY headbands that was featured on Project Wedding. i gave it to a friend as a birthday gift. she loved it so much wore it right away!

that made me happy!

fabric flower save the dates

here are the save the dates i just finished for my BFF! i love them SOOOOOO much, i think she does too. which is even better. (sorry about the crappy pictures, this was the best one out of like, 50.)

except for the fact that i got totally high from the fumes of the spray adhesive and had a raging headache for 2 whole days, it was super fun! haha. my dear friend and mentor came over and we got them done in about an hour. we laughed, we cried, we adhered... not sure how much of it was due to the fumes, but it was still fun. i guess next time i should do them outside.

i hope you like them!

sneak peek!

my best friend asked me to do her save the dates and, of course, i said yes! (she also asked me to be her matron of honor, which i also said yes to, OBVI!) she saw this DIY tutorial over on Wedding Chicks blog and knew right away that this was exactly what she wanted. i was so excited because when this post originally came out i started a-wishing and
a-hoping that i would be able to do it somehow! at the moment i am finishing up the flowers and fending off a thumb blister from my scissors. thankfully we split the cutting between heather, her fiance, and myself so it's not too bad! i can't wait to show you the finished product!

i'm on style me pretty!

back in December i met Katie Scott of Katie Neal Photo while planning our church's "Christmas Hoedown". during a meeting at my house she immediately noticed the lack of wedding pictures on my wall and offered to remedy the situation. fast forward a few months and the opportunity came up for her to capture a vision she had been having and i jumped on the chance to model when asked! the shoot got published on one of the best wedding blogs out there, Style Me Pretty! (click here to view more photos) here are a few (OK, tons!) of my favorites and they will all probably make it onto my walls!

the hubs, what a hottie.

thank you to Katie, for asking us to be apart of your beautiful vision and making this photo shoot so much fun! also, Lori, from Paper and Thread Studio did a great job making our love letters look so nice and she also sent me the die cut letters for the Mr. & Mrs. bunting. i enjoyed meeting Jennifer Bueno from Beauty-To-Be and having her transform me from a frumpy mother of two to a confident and beautiful "bride". everyone involved did such an awesome job and i am truly blessed to have these pictures to cherish for a lifetime.
